DEFENCE PROBLEMS
INCREASE IN CANADIAN VOTE OTTAWA, March 18. (Received March 19, at 7.20 p.m.) Thirty thousand men of the nonpermanent and the active militia will be given 10 days’ training this year. The Minister of National Defence announced in the House that he is bringing down militia estimates totalling 1,994,000 dollars, an increase of 111,000 over last year.
