THE AUCKLAND MEETING

SHATTER’S ENGAGEMENTS CANCELLED. (Special to Daily Times.) CHRISTCHURCH, December 14. Shatter will not be a visitor to Ellerslie for the Auckland Racing Club’s summer meeting. His injured leg is going on all right and so far as cbndition is concerned he would probably be forward enough to show good form. Unfortunately the open wound on his leg has not healed yet, and F. D. Jones considers it would be too' risky to travel the horse while in that state. Having arrived at this decision be decided to cancel the Auckland trip. Shatter will be kept going in useful exercise and may be racing at Trentham next month.
