RETURN TO NORMALITY

MR BALDWIN’S CHEERING FORECAST WORLD’S GREATEST EXPORTING COUNTRY (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, December 2. (Received Dec. 3, at 5.5 p.ra.) Mr Stanley Baldwin, speaking at Sunderland, disclosed that he would probably deal with important matters at the week-end. He expressed the hope that everyone would read the whole British Note. “You can mix it up with the test match,” he said. Britain under the previous Government was the third among the world’s great exporting countries, but it was now the first, British manufacturers should take advantage of the Ottawa Conference and familiarise themselves with the dominions’ requirements. He added: “ I believe what we were never able to say before —namely, Britain’s turn towards normality is coming.” :: .• ■ ■
