Nightmarch is expected here for the weight-for-age races. W. Broughton will ride Admiral Drake in the Caulfield Cup. Liberal, was kicked while at the post in the Guineas, and a flesh wound near a hind leg displayed soreness to-day. The injury is expected to yield to treatment. Ammon Ra’s apparent loss of form is puzzling his connections. His owner and trainer had a long discussion with a veterinary surgeon at the conclusion of Saturday’s race, and the impression prevails that he may have an internal complaint, A JOCKEY DISQUALIFIED MELBOURNE, October 10. (Received Oct. 10, at 10.30 p.m.) The Y.R.C. stipendiary stewards concluded an inquiry into the handling of Walter Scott in the Oby Hurdle Race on Saturday. The stewards disqualified H. Thompson for five years for a dishonourable action and improper conduct. Thompson is appealing. The owner (Mr Shillabeer) and trainer (E. Fisher) were entirely exonerated. Thompson is an exNew Zealander. NEW ZEALAND TRAINERS SEVERAL RETURNING. SYDNEY, October 10.
