PATIENTS AND PRISONERS' AID SOCIETY
Under the auspices of the Patients and Prisoners' Aid Society the South Duncdih Presbyterian Church choir gave a very interesting programme at the Orokonui Home, Waitati, on Saturday evening. A very hearty welcome was accorded the visitors and an air of freedom and homeliness pervaded the gathering. The programme was full of variety and 60me very fine work was put in.' Every item was fully appreciated by the audience. At the close -of the concert some time was spent in dancing, the patients and visitors taking part. Mr Brighton, acting head attendant, thanked the choir on behalf of the medical superintendent and staff, and Mr K. Syder, on behalf- of the society, moved a very hearty vote of thanks which was carried with acclamation. Mr Adam, choirmaster and accompanist, returned thanks on behalf of the choir, and assured the patients and staff that it gave them great pleasure to pay the visit, and promised to return eome time later. The singing of the National Anthem brought a very happy evening to a closa.
