SEQUEL TO SYDNEY BRIDGE OPENING CLAIM FOR WRONGFUL ARREST. SYDNEY, August 28. (Received August 28, at 5.5 p.m.) The Supreme Court on Wednesday will hear an action in which Captain de Groot claims £SOOO from Mr Mark Gosling, the former Chief Secretary, Police Commissioner Childs, and Superintendent Mackay. The claim arises out of the bridge-opening incident, and Captain de Groot’s subsequent arrest and imprisonment.
