TUESDAY’S DEMONSTRATION
An interesting chat about dress, together with music, artistic frocks, beautiful manikins, and dainty ballets, will be the order of the evening on Tuesday in the Town Hall, when Lady Chaytor will deliver an illuminating lecture on fashion, dress, and how to dress. Lady Chaytor comes straight from the smartest cities of the world, and she brings with her a message to the people of Dunedin, telling how the most fashionable women adorn themselves. The women of this city will, therefore, be presented with an excellent opportunity of finding out what to do and what not to do in regard to the important matter of dress. An attractive supporting programme has also been arranged, featuring the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of M, de Rose, songs by Miss .Mary Pratt, Dunedin’s favourite contralto, and ballets by Miss Lily Stevens’s School of Dancing, which scored such an outstanding success by gaining 100 per cent, in the competitions now in progress. The whole programme is being staged by Messrs Arthur Barnett, Ltd., and the gross proceeds will be given to the unemployed funds. The box' plan is now open at the Bristol Piano Company, Ltd.
