ROSLYN-KAIKORAI RATEPAYERS

MEETING OF ASSOCIATION

The monthly meeting of the RoslynKaikorai Ratepayers’ Association was held last night. The secretary read correspondence from the town clerk in answer to the association’s request that the City Council inaugurate a, scheme to settle the question of the Kakiorai Stream, stating that the only feasible solution was to pipe the stream, and neither the City Council nor the Drainage Board could undertake the responsibility of doing that.

It was decided to ask the City Council to form that part of School street from Weston street to halfway to Pyne street, with the aid of unemployed labour under the No. 5 scheme.
