LIFE GUARD’S UNIFORM. A boy in the Belgrave Hospital for Children, Kennington, London, S.W., Peter Garvie, aged five, recently received a present from the Prince Of Wales—a complete miniature Life Guard,£ uniform. Jt consist? of a red coat, white breeches, patent leather gaiters, and a silver helmet. . ~ </, This was the sequel to an incident during the Prince’s visit to the hospital. A/few hours earlier, Peter had several stitcheg removed and the pain .brought tears to his eyes. “ Life Guards don’t cry,” the nurse told 'him. So Peter stemmed the tears, and when the Prince came round he said determinedly, “I want to be a Life Guard.” , „ ~ “ You shall be when you grow up, the Prince promised him. As he left the ward the Prince remarked to his equerry, Lieutenant-colonel the Hon. Peirg Legh, that the child must have a little Life Guard’s uniform. Soon afterwards the uniform arrived. Though Peter is at present confined to his bed, he is wearing his red coat and shining helmet,
