MOSGIEL SCHOOL COMMITTEE
Mr George A. M'Leod presided at last night’s meeting of the Mosgiel SchoolCommittee. There was a full attendance of members. „ , The Department of Health forwarded a circular letter regarding dental clinic* and school dental nurses. Children who ■ were five years of age were to regarded as eligible for admission to school - dental clinics for systematic treatment.— Noted. „ , • „ .. •- W. J. Gordon, Forth street, Mosgiel, wrote making an offer to supply manures ■? for ' school -.garden at a fixed price.—- ( Noted. , On the chairman s motion, Mr U. Rutherford, was congratulated on being elected to the executive of the School Committees’ Association recently. The rector reported that the primary school attendance was 360 and the secondary 73. , ■ It was decided to apply to the Education Board for a retiring room for senior . scholars. -% Messrs Johnstone and Connor were appointed a Visiting Committee for July. Accounts totalling £l6 14s 3d were passed for payment. Regarding the question of the payment for dental treatment received by a certain family, it was resolved that a letter be forwarded by the secretary to the parent, the matter to be held over at present.
