QUESTION OF STERILISATION COMMITTEE TO REPORT. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 9. (Received June 10, at 5.5 p.m.) A Government committee to inquire into the sterilisation of mental defectives has been set up by the Health Ministry, with Mr L. G. Brock (chairman of the Board oi Control) as chairman. It will examine and report on information available regarding hereditary transmission tand other causes of mental disorders and deficiencies, consider the value of sterilisation as a preventive measure, having regard to its physical, psychological, and social effects and experience of legislation in other countries, and suggest any further lines of inquiry.
