Work was lately begun at Achiiuota. on the Gold Coast of Africa, on what will be an attempt to create the most beautiful church in the world. It will be a building, not made with hands, but just grown. The site is about 120 ft long by 60ft broad. At oue end is a raised plat form of earth. The floor is of firm, close turf. Long rows of stately royal palms will form the pillars of the chapel, and the walls will be made of pink bougainvillea and morning glory, growing between palm and palm. The root will be of purple bougainvillea. Horseradish trees, which grow very quickly to 20ft, and more, will provide the frame for the purple roof until the palms are able to take the strain.
