RIFLE SHOOTING

LADIES’ RESERVE CLUB. On Tuesday last, at the weekly meeting of the Ladies’ National Reserve Rifle Club, there was a good attendance and some excellent shooting was seen. Six members —Mrs R. Finder, Miss I. Robertson, Miss E. Melville, Miss T. Anderson, Miss M. Menzies, and/ Miss Murray—qualified to shoot for the handicap button. The second round left Misses Anderson, Murray, and Melville to shoot shot for shot, and in the final Miss E. Melville was successful. Two members, Miss P. Rowntree and Miss E. Melville tied for the highest score off the rifle. In the shoot-off Miss Rowntree led by one point and received the rifle.
