“COME TO DUNEDIN” WEEK

TO THE EDITOK. Siu, —May I crave space to ask the City Council why it is that it refuses to light up the southern end of the town during the "Come to Dunedin" Week? ihe lighting of the main streets is to be carried out from Rattray street to Frederick street, while the south of Rattray street is to be neglected. Surely the portion from Rattray street to Carroll street as a shopping centre is as important as the portion from Hanover street to 1< redenck The southern end, while being in the direct route, is also near the centre ot attraction, the Winter Show. As a ratepayer I, for one. strongly object, and would be pleased if the council would furnish the reasons for its decision.—l am, etc., Neglected. Dunedin, May 18.
