TERM OF IMPRISONMENT
FORMER LITHUANIAN PREMIER DEFALCATIONS WHILE IN OFFICE. KOVNO. May 17. (Received May 18, at 8.50 p.m.) Following six years’ investigation and ■'a trial in which 100 witnesses were beard, a former Premier of Lithuania, Vytantas Petrulias, who was accused of defalcations while in office, was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment and ordered to pay £2050. He was alleged to have received money from traffickers in alcohol and also for import licenses for cigarettes and yeast.
