KAIKORAI FOOTBALL GROUND
ANNUAL MEETING OF COMPANY
The annual meeting of the Kaikorai Football Ground Company, Ltd., was held last night in the Bishopscourt pavilion. Mr F. Farley presided. In moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet, the chairman said the company was struggling along, but was still keeping its head above water. The expenditure during the year had been much heavier than usual. This was mainly due to the painting of the pavilion. This work was absolutely necessary, and it was pleasing to know that the building was now in excellent order. The expenditure on improvements last year amounted to £66 14s lOd. In seconding the motion, Mr D. Spedding said it was pleasing to know that the company was still doing well. The expenditure had certainly been heavy last year, but this was necessary. He congratulated Mr Farley on his long association with the ground, extending over 39 years. It was mainly due to Mr Farley's interest and energy that such notable improvements had been made to the ground. He also congratulated the Ground Committee on the excellent manner in which it had carried out its work during the year. Mr IV. Sinclair congratulated the Ground Committee on its remarkably good work and the interest it took in the ground. He also congratulated the secretary on his excellent work. The company was on a satisfactory footing, and it had a very attractive playing area. He also referred to the excellent services rendered by Mr Farley during the 39 years he had been associated with the company. The report -and balance sheet were adopted. , Messrs A. M'Donald, T. Veitch, and W. P. Freeman were re-elected a Ground Committee. Mr Farley was re-elected chairman of directors.
