SWEDISH PRINCE’S WEDDING

RECONCILED WITH FAMILY. Nine days after his marriage at a Loudon registry office to Miss Karin Nissvandt, daughter of a Stockholm merchant, Prince Lennart of Sweden, who renounced his royal title for the sake of love, was reconciled to his father, Prince Wilhelm, at Nice. At a modest restaurant on the sea front Prince Lennart and his bride took luncheon with Prince Wilhelm. After luncheon the whole party drove to . meet King Gustav of Sweden, the prince’s grandfather, at his hotel, where the King bestowed his blessing on his grandson. . The prince declared later: “My greatest wish has been realised, and I am now the happiest man in the world.” Prince Lennart, who became known after the wedding as plain Mr Bernadette, will now probably take the German title “ Count of Mainau.” Mainau is the name of Prince Lennart’s island home on Lake Constance.
