LARGE SUM MISSING BANK CLERKS ARRESTED. SYDNEY, May 17. (Received May 17, at 7.20 p.m.) Stewart M'Lean, aged 41, and Frank Phihhs, aged 42, bank clerks, have been arrested on a charge of the theft of £5099 from the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney, Ltd., where they were employed. COMMONWEALTH BANK OFFICIALS REAPPOINTED. CANBERRA, May 17. (Received May 17, at 7.20 p.m.) The Federal Cabinet has reappointed the Governor of the Commonwealth Bank (Mr E. Riddle) and also the Deputy-governor (Mr H. Armitage) for a further term of seven years.
