A. TAYLOR AND SONS, LTD.

In a time of depression such as we arc now passing through the buying of any article or commodity must of necessity be in direct proportion to the spending ability of the buyer. Recognising this Messrs A. Taylor and Sons, Ltd., nave, like other traders, required to meet' the situation by not only reducing the prices of all coals and wood, but also by placing new coals on the market. This reduction demands a much higher efficiency in operating and also ottering special lines in the hope of procuring a larger turnover. The special lines which Messrs Taylor offer are Green Island Lignite, Midway and Eaipoint all at cut rates. Green Island Lignite is too well and favourably known to require any comment. Midway takes its place between the brighter coals and Lignites, being clean and for the most part large. Kaipoint coal has, since it was placed upon the market, enjoyed a popularity which is increasing very rapidly—it comes from Kaitangata district, is bright in appearance, bard and clean. All Messrs Taylor’s coals are double screened and kept dry under cover so that the customer receives his coal in good condition. The various woods are seasoned up to two years before being cut and are then stored under cover until delivery.
