In connection with the publication of directories tho name of Messrs Stone, Son, and Co., has been well established throughout New Zealand for very many years. The issue of tho Otago and Southland Directory proved such a boon to the public that the firm extended this section of its activities and published two other volumes, one covering Wellington* Hawke’s Bay and Taranaki, and the other dealing With Canterbury. Nelson, Marlborough, and Westland. The printing of directories, however, represents only portioDvOf the firm’s activities, which embrace books* catalogue and .art printing of a varied nature. These undertakings provide employment at Dunedin and Wellington for large staffs* which have the assistance Of the most modern machinery in turning out high class work.
