Since 1881 Messrs J. and T. Christie have carried on business in Dunedin as plumbers, brass founders, coppersmiths, iron workers, heating engineers, and importers and manufacturers of all kinds of plumbers' equipment, and during the lengthy period that has elapsed the business has grown from comparatively small dimensions to its present substantial proportions. a steady expansion having taken place. Numerous baths, basins, etc., all fitted up with the most modern appliances for convenience and pood service, and a host of plumbers and builders' requirements are displayed to tho best advantage in a Spacious showroom. Another ,department is devoted to brass finishing, engineering, and plating work, while another section of the premises is taken up by tho sheet metal s[iop,»where skylights, baths, ventilators, high and low pressure flushing cisterns, and all kinds of sheet metal manufactures are turned out. Skylights and glass houses*are a specialty of this firm. The moulding department is well appointed, and has hundreds of patterns of all plumbers’ brass work to meet every requirement.
