LONDONTOWN
Honourable trailing and expert knowledge has won for “ Londontown Hosiery Parlour ” the confidence of the public. Mr Shepherd, the proprietor,, has had many years’ experience trained in the retail in New Zealand and wholesale, and also has represented some of the world s largest hosiery mills in New Zealand before commencing in the retail business himself as the Londontown Hosiery Parlour where the public has since benefited by his varied experience and knowledge of hosiery. All through the period of depression and extra duty charges, Londontown has still held fast to its slogan of “ Our Stockings wear longer ” and maintained quality first at their own expense rather than supply inferior quality. Shortly Londontown will commence making its own ladies’ locknit silk underwear under the name of The Mary Anne Locknit which will help to circulate more money in Dunedin. As Londontown was the first hosiery specialist in Dunedin, and been a great supporter of our local mills, no doubt in future this firm will get still greater support from the public.
