ODDFELLOWS

A fair attendance of members of Maori’ Hill Lodge assembled at the last regular meeting, which was presided over by N.G. Bro. J. J. Middleton. The secretary presented the report of the Visiting Committee, and the necessary sick claims were passed for payment. Correspondence was received from the district secretary inviting members to attend next meeting. As tlie syllabus item for the evening was in the bands of Bro. L. D. Grigg, the N.G. declared a recess and invited Bro. Grigg to take charge. A very fine musical entertainment was then presented and members voiced their appreciation of the enterprising efforts of Bro. Grigg on behalf of the lodge. The N.G. made special reference to the presence of the D.D.G.M., and thanked him for his regular attendance and keen interest lie displayed in Maori Hill Lodge. D.D.G.M. Bro. Beveridge, in responding, said it afforded him great pleasure to attend their meeting, and congratulated the members on the fine spirit of fraternity which permeated their gatherings. Supper was handed round and the following visitors responded:—N.G. Bro. E. Beecher (Leith), V.G. Bro. Mflntyre (Unity). Secretary Bro. H. G. Carson (St. Hilda).
