REPORTS FROM NORTHERN CENTRES. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, May 16. A light south-west wind and fine weather prevailed to-day, but the sky was overcast and the conditions very cold. A rising barometer registers 30.25 in. WELLINGTON, May 16. The weather was again cold and wet to-day. The wind remained from the SoUth ‘ CHRISTCHURCH, May 16. The weather to-day was mild and sunny with a light nor’-wester in the morning and flat calm in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 55 degrees. The barometer was steady at 30.36 in.
