RADIANT HEALTH CLUB

At the meeting of the Radiant Health Club last Monday evening the president (Mr Brooks) was in the chair. The health exercises were indulged in by pany members. The speaker for the evening was the English lecturer, Dr Vere Pphss, who spoke of the clubs she had visited in Australia and of the conference that she had lately attended in Adelaide. The clubs, with their threefold message, were doing great work in Australia. At the termination of the meeting Dr Poliss was made a life member of the Dunedin Club and presented with the badge. On Wednesday evening a farewell social was tendered to Dr Poliss, who is leaving to-day for Christchurch. During the evening the president presented Dr Poliss with a' greenstone paper knife on behalf of her Dunedin students. Dr Poliss was also the recipient of other gifts, and, in thanking the donors, remarked that she would not forget Dunedin, It was the first city she had visited in New Zealand, and she would carry away with her many happy memories. Those who contributed items were Mrs Lamb, Miss Joan Hargreaves, Mr Watt, Mr White, Mr Swift, and Mr Cooper. Mr King and Mr Hargreaves were the accompanists. The evening was brought to a close with the singing of “For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow” and “Auld Lang Syne.”
