DISTURBANCE IN PACIFIC

RECORDED AT OBSERVATORY ' SYDNEY, May 16. (Received May 16, at 7.50 p.m.) A severe disturbance somewhere in the Pacific was recorded at the Riverview Observatory on Saturday night at about 11.15, Sydney time. The shock occurred about 2980 miles from Sydney, probably in the north-west quadrant.
