The C. and D. Line steamer Port Darwin was expected to arrive at Lyttelton yesterday from Port Kembla to commence Homeward loading. She will also load at Wellington and Auckland, and Is to sail from the lastnamed port on May 31 for London, via Cape Horn. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Otakl reached Gisborne on May 11 from Australia to commence Homeward loading. She was to leave Gisborne on May 12 for Tokomarn Bay and Wellington to complete, and Is scheduled to clear Wellington finally on May 13 for London. The Japanese motor ship Melbourne Marti left Mojl on May 2 for Hongkong, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Wellington, and Auckland. She Is due at Wellington on June 1. The Now Zealand Shipping Company’s motor ship Orarl left Auckland on May 12 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow, via Capo Horn and Dakar. MOTOR SHIP MAUI POMARK. The Government motor ship Maui Pomare, from Apia and Niue Island, arrived at Lyttelton yesterday morning. Tho Maul Pomare was to sail last evening for Wellington to complete discharge. BENHOLM FROM NEW YORK, Tho A. and A. Line's chartered steamer Benholm left Auckland on Saturday for Wellington to continue discharge of her cargo from New York and Gulf of Mexico ports. She was duo at Wellington yesterday, and will leave again to-day for Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australia to complete discharge. MONOWAI LEAVES SAN FRANCISCO. The Union Company has received cable advice that the Monowal left San Francisco on the afternoon of May 11 for Papeete, Rarotonga, Wellington, and Sydney. She Is due at Wellington on May 30. PORT GISBORNE FROM NEW YORK. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor ship Port Gisborne is reported to have cleared Panama on May 9 In continuation of her voyage from New York to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is scheduled to reach Auckland on May 80. ASHBURTON CLEARED TAMPICO. The Australlnd Shipping Company's motor ship Ashburton is reported to have cleared Tampico on May 9, en route from New York and Gulf of Mexico ports to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, New Plymouth, and Australia. HERMINIUS AT BLUFF. The Shaw, Savlll, and Albion steamer Herminlus, which arrived at Bluff last Thursday from England, left London on March 27 for Newcastle, at which port she bunkered, and commenced the voyage to New Zealand on April 1. Coming via Panama, fine weather was experienced to Colon, which was reached on April 17 at 8.30 p.m. Next morning the trip through the canal began and was completed in seven hours and four minutes. The same day the Herminlus bunkered at Balboa and left to continue,her voyage to the Dominion. Throughout fine weather prevailed, and the vessel fortunately missed the recent gales which made their presence felt about this coast. The Herminlus was formerly tho Shaw, Savlll, and Albion steamer Waimana, but on being sold to the Aberdeen Lino her present name was given, and when the latter company went out of existence her original owners again acquired tho vessel, but she retained the name Herminlus instead of reverting to her previous title. At Bluff flic Herminlus loaded 48,000 carcasses of frozen meat, 2000 crates of rabbits, 280 casks of tallow, and about 250 packages of sundries. The Hcrminus is commanded by Captain H. P. Thurston and associated with him arc the following officers:—Chief, Mr Smith; second, Mr E. Rlcard; third, Mr A. G. Collins; fourth, Mr J. A. M'Nab; chief engineer, Mr S. Widderington: seepnd, Mr H.
