BOWLING
DUNEDIN CENTRE The Dunedin Bowling Centre met last night in the office of the secretary (Mr R. Hanning). The president (Mr J. Allan) occupied the chair. The secretary presented a draft copy of the annual report and balance sheet for approval before its presentation at the annual meeting.—The report was approved. The New Zealand Bowling Association forwarded the list of nominations for the New Zealand Council. There were 11 nominations for the South Island members and eight for the North Island, seven members being required for each island. The list was as follows: —President, Mr H. G. Mayer (Wellington); vice-president, Mr H. Rowley (Dunedin); treasurer, Mr J. Kershaw (Wellington); councillors —Messrs W. A. Dee (Nelson), Dr R. Noble Adams (Marlborough), J. D. Colville, W. Efford, B. J. Finnegan, F. J. Good, D. E. Wood (Christchurch), F. B. Hawkey (Timaru), W. Connor, A. J. Sullivan (Dunedin), J. H. Loudon (Invercargill), J. Pascoe, G. L. Gladding (Auckland), E. Dingle (New Plymouth), R. N. Pilkington (Hamilton), G. S. Gordon (Wanganui), C. H. Critchley, S. M. Stone, and M. J. Hodgins (Wellington).—The letter was received. Mr D. C. Cameron forwarded his resignation as a member of the Executive Committee of the centre and promised bis future support of the game.—Received.
