Four sub-committee meetings iu connection with “ Come to Dunedili ” Week met yesterday, and reports were submitted concerning their respective activii’iie Processions Committee (Major Lampen in the chair) met iu the morning, and it was reported that a number of retailers had notified their intention of providing an entry for the procession on Thursday, June 2; also, that the Manufacturers’ Association were, also arranging for several exhibits.—lt was resolved to invite by advertisement entries from trades and from any organisations who are willing to take part. It was decided that the evening procession start from Cumberland street, at the intersection of Lower Rattray street, at 7.30 o’clock, participants to parade at' 7 o’clock. Messrs G. Lawrie and R. H. Steele were appointed to take charge of (lie fireworks display, to be held, probably at Cansbrcck, on Saturday, June 4, the concluding day of the carnival. • M Tim meeting of the Side Shows Coinnil tee was presided over by Mr H. L. Paterson. Mr N. M'Rae was added to the committee. . , The decision to charge sixpence admission to the Amusement Park was rescinded, and it was resolved to allow the public into the “park” (which is the basement of the Town Hall) free. Mr R. Bruce reported that t all arrangements were in hand and a number of entries already received in connection with the Miniature Rifle Association meeting which will be held during the week in the Drill Hall. , Messrs L. H. Frude. H. Prowsc. and N. M'Rae were appointed to make inquiries concerning the carrying out of a “spotting ” competition in connection with shop window displays. • . , ~ The Ball Committee, over which Mrs R. S. Black presided, decided to oiler two prizes, of £2 2s and £1 Is respectively, in each section of the poster parade competition, the prizes to be awarded for the best advertising poster team and for the best individual display. It was resolved to place ball tickets on sale at Messrs Cbas. Begg aiM Co., Bristol Piano Company, and Jacobs’s. The Bands Committee (Mr T. KirkBurnnaml in the chair) also met, and discussed further the arrangements in connection with the rota already drawn up for the week.
