PALMERSTON NOTES

(From Our Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON, May 16.

PLUNKET SOCIETY.

The monthly meeting of the Palmerston branch of the Plunket Society was held in the Plunket Room. The president (Mrs M‘Kenny) was in the chair. The Plunket nurse reported that during the past month 147 visits had been paid to homes; 43 adults, 32 babies, and 12 older children had visited the room, and with the exception of a - few colds the general health of £he babies and children was satisfactory. A successful stall had been held at the local stock sale. Votes of thanks were passed to Mesdaraes Hudson, Stenhouse, Moody and Miss Paul for donations to the stall. CORRECTION.

At tho Palmerston Collie Club’s trials Mrs Hugh Ross presented a cup valued at £5 5s for the Local Event. Mr C. J. Scott gave £1 Is, Mr J. Philip 10s 6d, and Mr D, J, Ross £1 Is for various other events.
