MRS MARY ANN ROSEVEAR v \ The Trinity Methodist Church has lost one of its most devoted ajid loyal, eupportera by the death of Mrs Mary Ann Miller Rosevear, which occurred at. her residence at 431 Castle street, yesterday. Before hpr marriage to Mr E.A. Rogevear, Mrs Rosevear was a Miss Algie, and as she was prevented for several years from taking any part in public life owing to ill health, she will be chiefly remembered for her association with the Methodist Church on behalf of which she was a capable and earnest worker. The deceased is survived by her husband and two daughters, two sons, having given their lives in the’ Great War. ® MR HENRY DUCKWORTH The death occurred at his residence at 42 Oakland street, Anderson’s Bay. yesterday, of Mr Henry Duckworth, &■< the age of 79 years. Born at Anderson's Bay in the early days, Mr Duckworth wac, a pupil of the first school in the district, and his intimate knowledge of the affairs of the district,' practically since it was settled, has been preserved in a book containing a series of articles which he, wrote some years ago. For a time was a member of the Anderson’s Bay: School Committee, and he was very well known in musical circles and took a, keen interest in anything connected with the. welfare of the district. Mr Duck-, worth was also a strong supporter of the Anderson’s Bay Presbyterian Church, ofwhich he had been an elder for many, years, besides serving for a long period, as a teacher in the Sunday School. He. was married in 1880 to Miss Grace, Browm, and there were six sons and one daughter of the marriage. Mr Duckworth’s interest was chiefly taken up; with a study of the early history of the province, and particularly of Dunedin.. He was a reliable authority on both'subjects. v
