Mr Justice MacGregor, after spending a few days in Dunedin, returned to Wei- { lington on Saturday. Mr 6. Andrews went to Timaru 'on Saturday by the through express. W. MTLaren, formerly of Dunedin, came to Dunedin on Saturday afternoon. For some time Mr M'Laren has been carrying on engineering works in South Africa. , A Press Association cablegram from London states that Lord Stanley of Alderlev left an estate valued at £247,912. Among the competitors at the sixtyfirst annual Highland gathering held re-,, cently at Waipu was Mr Robert Clark; of Dunedin, who was successful in gaining five first prizes and one second award ■ in the Highland dancing section. Mr Clark was also awarded the Hector Macdonald Silver Cup for the highest aggre-. gate points in adult dancing.
