CURRENCY OF IRAK
CONVERSION PROCEEDING SMOOTHLY.

The conversion of the currency of Irak from rupees to a new currency based on the dinar, which is equivalent to the pound sterling, is proceeding smoothly and satisfactorily. The supply and control of the new currency are under rhe management of the Irak Currency Board appointed by the Government of Irak. The members of the board are' Mr L. S. Amcry (chairman), Viscount Goschen, Mr J. S. Haskell, Hussein Boy Afnan,and Sir Basil Blackett.
