ASSAULTED AND ROBBED
, ATTACK ON TAXI DRIVER

AUCKLAND, May 14,
An assault was made on a taxi-driver by three men who engaged a car to drive to Mission Bay on Saturday evening, and robbed the driver. L. Anlezark, of the sum of 10s, all he had. Two of the men sat ’behind and one with the driver, who states that when they reached Mission Bay one of the men in the back seat pressed a revolver against the driver’s ribs and demanded money. The driver handed over all he had and was then hit on the head and thrown out of the car in which the men drove away. The driver informed the police by telephone. The car was later found abandoned near the Parnell Baths.
