FLOWER SHOW

Each year it has been the aim of the Horticultural Society <o eclipse previous efforts, and, judging by this years displays, trade exhibits, and amusement attractions, the society’s wish should be gratified to a greater extent than in the past. The Town Hall has been transformed into a veritable_ fairyland with glorious autumn tints, delicate shades, and bursts of vivid colour. The evening programme will include a musical feast, in which Begg’s Orchestra and the Philco loud-speaking set will play important parts. The Otago School of Dancing and Mr J. V. Hanna’s pupils will present entertainment of a very high order. The show, under the patronage of the Come to Dunedin ” Week effort, will be opened at 1.30 pan. to-day, and' a noteworthy feature is that the profits will be devoted to unemployment funds.
