HEAD-ON .COLLISION
FIVE PERSONS SENT TO HOSPITAL,

NELSON, May 9.
A head-on Collision between Spiers Nelson-Murchison service car and a sedan driven by Norman Conroy, occurred at Wakefield yesterday afternoon, and resulted in five people being sent to the hospital. Kenneth Marshall has a fractured skull, and his condition is serious. Norman Conroy also has a fractured skull, but is progressing favourably. Adam Clark has scalp wounds; Linda Martin head injuries; and Valene Gravit head injuries. LEVEL CROSSING FATALITY (Per United Press Association.) • MASTERTON, May 9. A verdict that F. M. Gillespie wns killed through the dislocation of his neck received in a level crossing accident was returned by the coroner (Mr E. G. Eton) tb-day at the inquest concerning the fatality in which a train struck a bus with a full load of passengers at the Renall street crossing on April 9. The coroner added that according to the evidence the driver of the bus did not see the approach of the train, which, to the mind of the court, was negligence. . FALL FROM BICYCLE A boy named Joseph Hanvey, aged 13 years, whose parents reside at 238 Mam South road, was admitted to the Hospital last evening suffering from injuries to the right leg as the result of falling off his bicycle.
