NEW PLYMOUTH OIL WELLS

It lias been announced that New Plymouth (New Zealand) Oil Wells, Ltd., has gone into liquidation. The company has a bore at Spotswood, near New Plymouth, where drilling operations were commenced in December, 1930. When work ceased several months ago the boro was sunk to 3036 feet. Financial support necessary to carry on was not forthcoming. The company was an Australian one, and only a relatively small proportion of the share capital was subscribed in New Zealand.
