GLEN INNES TRAGEDY

YOUTH CHARGED WITH MURDER

SYDNEY, May 7

The police have arrested Maurice O’Hara, aged 19, on a charge of having murdered Albert Chaffey.

Albert Victor Chaffey, aged 40, a dairyman, was found dead in a yard at the rear of his home at Glen Innes, on April 26. There was a bullet wound at the rear of the skull, and he had apparently been shot from behind,. A sum of money was stolen from his belt. Chaffey was a member of one of the most prominent families in the country. His cousin is a member of the New South Wales Assembly.
