HADEN CLARKE’S DEATH

MOTHER DESIRES AUTOPSY

MIAMI, May 7 (Received May 8, at 5.5 p.m.)

An autopsy of the body of Haden Clarke was asked for by his mother to-day. It is alleged that her' family physician found a fracture at the base of the skull and bumps on the head, leading her to believe that her son had been beaten' before ho was shot in the temple. The county physician stated that be saw no evidence of the condition reported by the family doctor. Mrs Clarke says that Captain Lancaster and Mrs Keith Miller were badly upset over the shooting. Captain Lancaster, ora his release from custody the first time, had come to her and placed his hands on her shoulders and said: “Mrs Clarke, I want you to know I did nut kill your son.” Subsequently she told him she was glad to hear that.
