CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND. April 29. Fine weather and a light, variable wind prevailed to-day, but the sky was cloudy and threatening after mid-day. The barometer continues low, but has risen slightly, and registers 29.60 in. WELLINGTON, April 29. The weather conditions to-day were moist, a light southerly bringing misty showers. In the evening rain set in definitely.
CHRISTCHURCH. April 29. Rain fell during the night, and the morning was gloomy. In the afternoon rain fell at intervals in heavy showers, the fall to 5 o’clock being 43 points. The conditions remain threatening. The wind varied from W.S.W. to N.N.E., and the thermometer registered S3deg. The barometer had little movement during the day, but to-night at .30.00 was rising.
