FOUND WITH HEADS BATTERED. SOLICITOR AND HIS WIFE. SYDNEY, April 22. (Received April 22, at 8 p.m.) Victor Claude Saywcll, a well-known solicitor and sportsman, and his wife were found in bed to-day with their heads horribly battered, apparently with a hammer while they were asleep. They were taken to hospital in a critical condition. BLOODSTAINED HAMMER FOUND. SYDNEY, April 22. (Received April 22, at 11.50 p.m.) No reason for the murderous attack upon the Saywells has yet been ascertained. A bloodstained hammer was discovered in an adjoining paddock. The Saywells are prominent society folk, residing at Bellevue Hill.
