SELECTION OF MISS KENCH OTAGO’S PKOTEST SUPPORTED. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 22. A motion that Miss Kench should not be sent to the Olympic Games to take part in women’s athletic events was carried at a meeting of the Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. Otago’s protest against what was stated to be the over-riding of Messrs P. W. Breen and T. E. Henry (the athletic selectors for the Olympic Games team) was (supported by the committee, which also decided to nominate Mr C. H. Taylor as manager of the New Zealand teanT for the Games. During the discussion ‘strong criticism of the managerial selections was expressed,- the authorities in Wellington coming under fire.
