BOXING ON SUNDAY
A CLERGYMAN’S PROTEST
CLAIM AGAINST OFFICIALS.
LONDON, April 14, (Received April 15, at 5.5 p.m.)
After associating himself with public protests, the Rev. J. S. Perkins, of the Zion Congregational Church at Hulme, as common informer, has written to Mr William Milward, the manager of Manchester Stadium, and Cr L. B. Cox, master of ceremonies, regarding recent Sunday boxing contests. He is claiming £IOOO from Milward and £SOO from Cox, The action will be defended.
