M‘GLASHAN SPORTS

INTERRUPTED BY RAIN SEVERAL PRELIMINARIES DECIDED. On account of heavy rain the John M'Glashan College, annual sports which were commenced on Logan Park yesterday morning, were postponed until a date after Easter. Opportunity was found, however, to dispose of nine heats in three of the 220 yard events, and also the 880 Yard Handicap, in all of which the racing was very keen. When-the sports were commenced it was hoped that the rain might subsequently cease, but when at 12.30 p.m. there were no indications that such would be the case, it was decided to suspend further operations until a later date.
