FORESTERS

Court Excelsior, No. 6128, A.0.F., held its fortnightly meeting recently. C.R. Bro. J. W. Leitch presided over a full attendance of officers and a good muster of members. A letter was received from P.C.R. Bro. A. J. Morrison, who, owing to ill-health, tendered his resignation as a trustee of the court and a delegate to the United Friendly Societies’ Dispensary Board. It was resolved that his resignation should be accepted with regret, and that a letter should be sent expressing appreciation of his services and sympathy with him in his illness. It was further resolved that a copy of the following minute (which was placed on record) should be forwarded to Bro. Morrison: — “ Court Excelsior, No. 6128, A.0.F., desires by this minute to place on record its deep and sincere appreciation of the long and valued service rendered by P.C.R. Bro. A. J. Morrison as a delegate, trustee, and officer of the court, and expresses its deep regret at his inability to continue in such offices.’ An invitation from .Court Pride of Dunedin to attend a progressive euchre evening was accepted, the court to attend officially One new member was admitted. P.C.R. Bro. J. T. Wilson reported on the last meeting of the juvenile branch. The business paper for the forthcoming district meeting at Oamaru was discussed, and the delegates were given a free hand in all questions. An informal card game concluded the evening.
