GOOD TEMPLARY

Chief Templar Bro. L. Andrews presided over the weekly meeting of the Radiant Morn Juvenile Temple, 1.0.G.T., held in the Moruington Methodist Sunday School Hall on Saturday last. Bro. \V. G. lies, superintendent, was in charge. Two candidates were initiated and welcomed into the temple. Bro. Rae, A. Supt, spoke a few words to the members about temperance. The programme for the evening was in the hands of the ViceTemplar, Bro. Harold White, and was very much enjoyed by the members. The Hope of Cavershara Lodge, No. 128, held its weekly meeting in the Baxter Hall, Marion street. C.T. Sis. Mrs Giles presided over a fair attendance of members and visitors from Rescue and Hope of Dunedin Lodges. The programme for the evening was Sacred Night,” arranged by Bro. Hilton, Items were rendered by Bros. Giles, Hilton, and Dickinson, and a community sing was held by the lodge. The Hope of Dunedin Lodge, 1.0.G.T., held its weekly meeting on Wednesday. C.T. Bro. E. J. South presided over a fair attendance of members. Visitors were present from the Hope of Caversham and Rescue Lodges. An old member was re-initiated into the Order. Sis. Mason reported visiting the Silver Star Temple, and stated that the juveniles were progressing well. The item for the evening was “ Brothers’ Surprise.” The vote to the visitors was responded to by Bro. Churchill (Rescue) and Bro. Stanley (Caversham). The Silver Star Juvenile Temple met on Wednesday under the guidance of Sis. Rayner, S.J.W., C.T. Sis. P. Rackley presided over a good attendance of members. Three new members were initiated. Sister Mason, marshal of the Hope of Dunedin Lodge, was present, and gave a short talk to the children. Sister Raynor conducted a needlework competition, and

Bro. South, A.S.J.W., gave a short lesson on “ Temperance,” after which games were played. Chief Templar Bro. James Hilton presided over a good attendance of members at the Rescue Lodge on Tuesday night. Visitors were also present from the All Nations and Hope of Caversham lodges. Reports of members on sick leave were submitted by the Visiting Committee, progress towards recovery being noted. The Housing Committee of the G.L.R.C. also reported in connection with the forthcoming Grand Lodge session. Correspondence was received from the district secretary, and delegates were elected to attend the annual meeting of district lodge. The election of members to the various commissioned offices was carried out. The young members, being in'charge, were assisted by the following:—Bro. J. Smith, moutljj organ selections; Bro. J. Hilton, song'; Bro. E. lies, song; Sis. M. Pauli, recitation. A community sing and a choir competition between the sisters against the brothers provided an easy win for the latter.
