The monthly meeting of the Dnnback branch of the Women’s Institute was held in the Coronation Hall on January 13, a fair number of members being present. Miss Bell presided and extended a hearty welcome to new members. The chief subject for discussion was “ Preserved Fruit, Vegetables, and Pickles.” This matter was fully gone into, and proved very instructive. Mrs R. A. Hay gave a very interesting demonstration of “ Rallia Work.” Musical items were given by Misses Pringle. The subject for discussion at next meeting will be “ Child Welfare.” The hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs Pringle and Misses Pringle. l Much enthusiasm has been shown in institute matters at Dunback, and the prospects for a bright future are particularly good.
