PRESIDENT HINDENBURG

EXTENSION OF TERM HERR HITLER’S ATTITUDE. BERLIN, January 11. Herr Hitler and Dr Hugenburg held a conference and decided not to support Dr Bruening’s proposal for a motion in the Reichstag extending President Hindenburg’s term. It is intended to inform Dr Bruening that, while it is desired that .President Hindenburg should remain in office, it is preferred that this should be done by a vote of the people, not by unconstitutional means, as suggested by the Government. If President Hindenburg seeks reelection he will have an overwhelming majority as only the Communists are likely to oppose him.
