THE SANDERS CUP
Otago's challenger, Heather, will be shipped to Wellington to-day for the Sanders Cup contest, which commences on Monday next. The crew, consisting ot Messrs C. Pettit (skipper) I. M Grath, A. Shanks, and R. Reynolds, will follow the boat by the second express to-mor-The president of the Otago Yacht and Motor Boat Association (Mr W. 0. Martin) told a Daily Times reporter that he had an opportunity of inspecting Heather last evening, and he was loud m his praises of the excellent condition to which the old Cup winner had been brought. He paid a tribute to the energy and care bestowed on the boat by the crew in particular and supporters of the sport in general. “There is no doubt, added Mr Martin, “that true Sanders Cup spirit is being shown, and if keenness can win the Cup then it is ours.” _ Heather and her crew will arrive in Wellington on Friday morning when every opportunity will be taken by the crew of trying themselves out on Wellington Harbour before the contest commences. It is hoped that as many yachtsmen as possible will assemble at the station tomorrow morning and give the crew a hearty “send off,”
