After continuous rain during lust night the weather was line and sunny to-day and a light breeze was blowing from the south-west. The barometer fell to 29.COiu early this morning, but is slowly rising. WELLINGTON, January 11. Perfect summer weather was enjoyed in Wellington to-day. There were several showers overnight, but the sun shone brightly all day. A light wind blew from the north-west. CHRISTCHURCH, January 11. The weather to-day was hot, with a fresh breeze from the north-west. The maximum temperature was 77 degrees. The barometer dropped to 29.30 in, but had a rising tendency to-night.
